Anonymous Rostering allows schools to enroll students in The Scribe Academy without providing Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Students are identified only by anonymous codes, protecting their privacy while maintaining full platform functionality.

The school creates anonymous student codes (e.g., "STU-2024-001") using their own system. The mapping between codes and real students stays with the school.
School uploads a CSV with only: Student Code, Grade Level (optional), Class Period (optional). No names, emails, or other PII.
System generates unique login links or QR codes for each student code. Teacher distributes these in class.
Students access the platform using their code. All work is saved under the anonymous identifier.
Teacher sees progress by code. They use their own mapping to identify students if needed.

We only store what's necessary. No names, emails, or demographics means less data at risk.
If breached, attackers get meaningless codes—not student identities.
Less PII = simpler FERPA, COPPA, and SOPIPA compliance.
The school maintains the only copy of the code-to-student mapping.
